First Course: Smoked Salmon

                    (Smoked salmon with lemon dill crostini topped with herb caper cream cheese & diced onions)

Wine: Barton and Gustier Vouvray, France

Pale straw with green highlights. Great nose of subtle white flowers mixed with white fruits. A lovely and intense wine with floral notes, peach and pear flavors.

Second Course:  Chilled Cucumber Melon Soup

(Chilled cucumber melon soup garnished with diced cucumber & yogurt)

Wine: Murrietta’s Well “The Whip”, Livermore, California
43% Chardonnay, 15% Gewurztraminer, 13% Sauvignon Blanc, 9% Orange Muscat, 8% Viognier, 5% Pinot Blanc, 4% Semillon, and 3% Muscat Canelli -Ripe stone fruit, citrus zest, and white flowers lead the way with lingering orange peel and honeysuckle notes.

Entrée:   Prime Rib of Pork

(Slow roasted prime pork loin rib topped with diced pork belly, onions & mushrooms

in pork au jus served with loaded twice baked potato & vegetable )

Wine: Murrietta’s Well “The Spur” Red Blend, Livermore, California
31% Petite Sirah, 29% Petit Verdot, 27% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Malbec, and 5% Cabernet Franc. Dark (red) berry fruit and plum scents start the ball rolling followed by spice, cedar, anise, and toasted cocoa nibs. The aromas echo on the palate with balanced acidity and a round, soft texture leading to a medium-length finish laced with a dusting of black pepper.

 

Dessert:  Turtle Layer Cake

(Chocolate fudge caramel pecan layer cake with fresh whipped cream, caramel & hot fudge)
